MICHELLE MILLER, OTR/L

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEPARTMENT OWNER

Michelle is one of the owners of Kids Therapy Spot. She is the owner of the Occupational Therapy Department (OT 4 Kidz, LLC) and oversees this portion of the clinics. Michelle received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Psychology from Eastern KY University in December 1991. She moved to Starkville, MS with her husband Darren, in January 1992, and has been practicing Occupational Therapy in the Golden Triangle area since that time. Although she has worked in numerous settings over the years, she has always worked with children, whether in outpatient, inpatient, home or school setting. Her passion is working with children who have complex neurodevelopmental and/or genetic disorders, where she can use a variety of treatment techniques and her years of experience. Her specialty and interest is working with children who have Cortical Vision Impairment. In her free time, Michelle enjoys reading, watching UK basketball, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

BRITNEY TRANUM, MOTR/L

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEPARTMENT SCHOOL PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

Britney joined the team at Kids Therapy Spot in September of 2011. She is an Occupational Therapist at the Kids Therapy Spot clinic in Starkville, MS and in the Starkville public school system. Britney graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in May 2008. Following graduation, she was employed with an exceptional children’s hospital in Memphis, TN. Britney has practiced in the areas of NICU, pediatric acute care and pediatric outpatient. She enjoys treating children of all ages and working closely with families to provide optimal care and education to maximize each child’s level of function. Britney and her husband, PJ, were married in December 2010 and have lived in Starkville since September 2011. They enjoy spending time with their sweet daughter.

JESSI SUGG, MOTR/L

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEPARTMENT CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Jessi joined the team at Kids Therapy Spot in December of 2013. She is an Occupational Therapist at the Kids Therapy Spot clinic in Starkville and Golden Triangle Autism Center. Jessi graduated from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center with her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in May 2010. Following graduation, she was employed with a pediatric hospital before specializing in pediatric cancer at a well known children’s rehab hospital in Memphis, TN. Jessi has experience treating children with a variety of diagnoses,rare neurological disorders, along with treating children from effects as a result of cancer treatment. She has practiced in the areas of pediatric acute care and pediatric outpatient. She and her husband, Greg, were married in 2011 and relocated from Memphis, TN to West Point, MS in December of 2013. They enjoy spending time with their two children.

CLAIRE SHEPHERD, MOTR/L

Claire joined the team at Kids Therapy Spot in April of 2017. She is the primary Occupational Therapist at the Kids Therapy Spot clinic in Columbus, MS. She lives in Columbus with her husband and two sons.

 

 

JOY MARVIN, MOTR/L

Joy joined the Kids Therapy Spot team in August of 2017. She is the primary Occupational Therapist at Meridian Pediatric Extended Care. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Joy has worked in a variety of settings including adult inpatient rehab, swing bed, pediatric outpatient, and was trained and worked in the NICU at a hospital in Alabama. Joy and her husband have been married since 2014. Joy is mom and step mom to four beautiful daughters.

ALAINA ULMER, MOTR/L

Alaina joined the team at Kids Therapy Spot in June of 2019. She is an Occupational Therapist at Pediatrust Pediatric Extended Care in Columbus, MS and both Kids Therapy Spot clinics. Alaina graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with her Master of Science degree in May 2019. She lives in Columbus with her husband and son.

 

MARY GRACE CRENSHAW, COTA/L

Mary Grace joined the team at Kids Therapy Spot in May of 2022. She is an Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Kids Therapy Spot clinic in Columbus, MS and one day a week at the Kids Therapy Spot clinic in Starkville, MS.

Mary joined the team at Kids Therapy Spot in April of 2022. She is an Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Kids Therapy Spot clinic in Starkville, MS.

KATE ANDERSON, MOTR/L

Kate joined the team at Kids Therapy Spot in November of 2015 as a full time OT and over the years, she has moved to a PRN OT for Kids Therapy Spot. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2008. She obtained her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010. Kate enjoys treating children of all ages and has experience treating a variety of ages and diagnoses. Kate and her husband, live in West Point, MS with their two boys.
